Please bring your insurance card to all medical appointments. An ID also needs to be available upon request by receptionist if needed.
We understand that things come up during the day and patients face unavoidable delays to their appointment times. Please call and give us notice when possible. We will do our very best to accommodate. If you are going to be more than 20 minutes late, you may be asked to reschedule or shorten the appointment duration, limiting it to one concern. We appreciate your understanding.
We are sensitive to the fact that an emergency may occur at a rare instance that prevents you from keeping your scheduled appointment. However, cancellations, especially last-minute ones, along with patient no-shows, limit our ability to accommodate the needs of other patients. We kindly ask that you give us as much notice as possible if you need to cancel your appointment. If there are three or more missed appointments, you may be asked to make a $50 nonrefundable deposit for your next visit. Thank you for your understanding.
We offer exchange only of products sold within our practice if needed as we know there are times patients may be allergic or intolerant to certain ingredients without knowing. However, if exchange of products becomes excessive (more than twice per calendar year) we reserve the right to refuse the exchange and return. We are happy to supply a sample to our patients prior to purchase whenever possible to ensure no immediate allergy exists. We appreciate your understanding.
Prescription medications are becoming increasingly difficult to get for patients. This is due to many factors including insurance company's approval. Please note we have no control over what medications your insurance approves or the cost of these medications. Many times, it involves hours of paperwork and communication between our office, you, your insurance company, and the pharmacy. Even then, there are no guarantees. Our office prides itself on having no disclosures as we are only interested in getting the medication we think will provide the most benefit. We also utilize many pharmacies and try to work with ones that serve you best. We are not endorsing any listed pharmacy as this is simply a contact information tool if your prescription was sent to one of the listed facilities. Please use patience as we endeavor through the prescription process if needed, especially for branded medications. In addition, we typically do not perform prior authorizations for generic medications as these are available at affordable pricing with many pharmacies and discount programs such as "GoodRx." Thank you for your understanding.
Here at GILLIE, we strive for unmatched patient care. Part of this is staying up to date on the latest research, therapeutics, and device technology. However, we do not allow time with visiting representatives to detract from patient care. Sales associates are welcome to drop off their materials with reception during clinic hours and receive a quick signature via a nurse or receptionist. Unless prearranged, Gillie and other providers will not meet with representatives during clinic. Lunch meetings may be scheduled on Thursdays with reception. We cannot guarantee Gillie will be present for a full hour or even half hour as there are times patient care will continue during lunch. However, we will do our best to respect your time if lunch is scheduled. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to working with you.
