Hair thinning and hair loss (alopecia) are incredibly common concerns—for both men and women—and often become more noticeable with age. Just like the skin on your face, the scalp also ages, leading to decreased circulation, reduced collagen production, and weaker hair follicles. Addressing scalp health early is key to maintaining fuller, healthier hair over time.
At our office, we take a comprehensive, personalized approach to hair restoration. Every patient begins with a thorough scalp assessment to determine the underlying cause of hair loss. In some cases, medical conditions such as scarring autoimmune alopecia or alopecia areata may be present and require medical evaluation and treatment before beginning aesthetic therapies. In addition, hair loss is becoming increasingly common across all age groups, with inflammation playing a significant role—leading us to see it occur at younger and younger ages. Call today and schedule your hair loss consultation today!
Many patients come to us feeling discouraged after being "brushed off" about their hair concerns by other healthcare providers—men often told to just "shave their heads,” and women told that “male pattern baldness” is normal. Many patients can feel that something is "off" in their bodies leading to their hair loss and no one wants to hear them. We believe your concerns deserve to be heard, and we take the time to truly listen and understand why this matters to you. Gillie and her team are deeply passionate about changing this narrative and committed to providing more thoughtful, personalized care.
Hair loss isn’t just cosmetic—it can impact confidence and often signals underlying scalp or health changes. By focusing on scalp rejuvenation and early intervention, we can help slow progression, improve hair quality, and in many cases, restore growth.
We believe in honest, transparent care and will guide you through every step of the process, including when medical treatment or referral is appropriate. Our goal is to create a treatment plan tailored specifically to you, so you can feel confident in both your hair and your care.
A comprehensive hair consultation is the first and most important step in understanding the cause of hair loss and creating an effective treatment plan. During your medical hair loss assessment visit, we take time to review your medical history, discuss your concerns, and perform a detailed scalp examination to assess hair density, pattern of loss, and overall scalp health.
When appropriate, we may perform lab work to evaluate underlying factors that can contribute to hair thinning, such as hormone imbalances, thyroid dysfunction, nutritional deficiencies, or inflammatory markers. In select cases, a scalp punch biopsy may also be recommended to obtain a definitive diagnosis—especially when conditions such as cicatricial alopecia are suspected.
Our goal is to ensure no underlying cause is overlooked and to provide a clear, personalized path forward. We believe in a thorough, thoughtful approach so every patient receives the most accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment plan for their individual needs.
